About us
eMatjarak is a store-building platform made for one market in particular: Syria. Not a translation of a foreign platform, and not a generic template with Arabic added afterwards.
Why it exists
Most people selling online in Syria today sell in direct messages: a photo, then a question about the price, then a phone number, then an agreement about delivery. That works until you reach thirty orders a day, and then it stops working entirely.
The global platforms do not solve it, because they were built on assumptions that do not hold here: a credit card, a courier with an API, one stable currency. We built on the real ones: cash on delivery, a courier you telephone, and a dollar price shown in Syrian pounds.
What we believe
The merchant owns the money and the customer. We are software. We do not hold your customers’ cash, we never take possession of your goods, and we sell nothing to your customer list.
Arabic first, not Arabic later. Every page, every message and the dashboard itself, in full right-to-left. English sits beside it, not above it.
We do not promise what we do not have. If card payments are not available, we say so on the pricing page — not at checkout.
Your data leaves when you want it to. Catalogue and customers as CSV, from your dashboard, without asking and without delay.
How we make money
Plainly, and from two places only: a monthly or yearly subscription on the paid plans, and a commission on each order at your plan’s rate. Both are on the pricing page before you choose.
We do not sell your data, we do not put advertising in your store, and we do not take a hidden cut of a transfer.
