What we are not doing yet
We are not going to give you a timetable. A plan a small team misses is worse than silence. But what you do need before committing a catalogue to us is what the product cannot do today — so here it is, written down.
Waiting on somebody else
Card payments. The plumbing is built; what is missing is an account with a gateway that will onboard a Syrian merchant. When there is one, it gets switched on.
WhatsApp and SMS. The notification system supports both; what is missing is a contract with a provider. Until then notifications arrive by e-mail.
Booking shipments with couriers, and printing labels. These need a shipping partner with an API, and no dominant one exists here yet. What exists today is the courier book, shipment statuses and the cash ledger.
Decided against, for now
Gift cards. Stored value is not a discount, and modelling it as one moves the tax base. We will build it as a real payment method or not at all.
A mobile app. Every store is an installable web app already. A store-listed app means reviews, builds and update cycles, in exchange for what the browser does today.
A third-party theme marketplace. Seven themes ship with the platform. Opening that up needs out-of-process execution, not a theme API.
Shipping by weight and dimensions. Pricing by governorate is what matches how delivery actually works here.
What we are actually doing
Improvements ship continuously and are published on the What’s new page. If something specific is missing for you, tell us — what merchants ask for is what gets built, and what nobody asks for waits.
